What is the appropriate phrase to say if two people are on the same track?

I am sharing my understanding regarding a particular matter with a colleague just to make sure that both of we have same understanding. This is just to avoid any conflict or confusion among us. Phrases coming to my mind are like: >making sure we are on the same horizon or stage >making sure we are aligned >making sure we are on the same track What would be the most appropriate sentence in this regard?

Of the examples you mentioned, "they are on the same track" is the only one commonly used.

You could also say "they see eye to eye," or, "they see things the same way."

Or you could say,"they approach this from the same point," or simply say "they agree."
