Z is inversely proportional to x. This means we can write z = C * (1/x) where C is some constant. We can then plug in values to solve for C. We plug in z = 0.9375 and x = 16 to get 0.9375 = C / 16. Solving this equation by multiplying both sides by 16, we get that C = 15. Plugging this into our first equation we get z = 15 / x. To get the value of z when x = 23, we can plug in 23 for x and we get z = 15 / 23. This give us the value z = 0.65.
Therefore when x = 23, z = 0.65.
Hope this helps! Let me know if I need to explain anything.
Inversely proportional means when X increases, Y decreases and vice versa. X doubles, Y halves; it means X times Y always equals the same number.
XY = .9375 * 16 = 15
XY = 15
Y changes to 23
X*23 = 15
X = 15/23
X = ~.6521

16(.9375) = x
x = 15
23y = 15
y = 15/23 = 0.65217391304
I'm nit really sure that I understand the problem as the manner in which you have typed it is incomplete and grammatically confusing. If you retype the question in full and exactly, I can reconsider it.
