My undergraduate degree is in Biological Sciences so I will attack the question this way:
In the U.S. most people have been taught the idea of a possible "Big Bang" as a theory of creation. By definition a theory is something that cannot be proven.
However, in Physic's there exists a Law, called the First Law of Thermodynamics. Everything that exists is made up of energy of some kind: stored energy, potential energy etc. Scientists can measure this energy. So they CAN prove what they say about energy. In doing so, Scientist have discovered that energy (a.k.a. matter) CAN NOT be created or destroyed. In other words we now know that a "Big Bang" COULD NOT have created anything. A source for the energy (matter) had to already be in existent.
Scientist have named this source of energy (matter) "The God Particle".
I call the source GOD. Why? For one thing: every living thing that exists has a remarkably similar construct, DNA. That DNA has the same type base pairs though arranged differently to accomplish different feature in all organisms and there are numerous organisms. In other words, living things were made by the same 'designer'. A second reason is the numerical statistical IMPOSSIBILITY that life as we know it could have come into existence on its own (something from nothing) or that biosphere and ecosphere would have been there to support each species as it came into being supported. The only logical thing to conclude is that someone or something with AWESOME power actually created all that we see and designed it so that the things that were created could continue to sustain their lives.
Man has been steadily destroying the creation. Our species will now be threatened by the failure of man to be a good steward of our natural resources. Soon it may be beyond the powers of man to reverse 'global warming'. Even now as scientist are struggling with the task of slowing or stopping global warming, they are realizing how little they know about the design of our world and how it has worked for untold years.
No one can convince another of the existence of GOD, but it takes just as much faith (if not MORE) to blindly believe in NOTHING than it takes to believe in GOD.
