#1 It depends; what type of triangle are you using; right, oblique, or isosceles?
#2 The first measurement needed is the width of the walkway. Next you need the mid height from the cross- section. You may need to make more vertical measurements. If you're lucky; the mid point is all you'll need.
#3 Ellipse 3*(3-y)pi.
Hyperbola (3*(3-y))/2; Switch halves; place arch to arch.
