Hi Gloria, for a line to be parallel with another line, their slopes must be the same. Here, the slope is 4/3 (slope in standard for is -A/B.)
Using the point slope equation, you can find the parallel line.
y - y1 = m * (x - x1)
Substitute for y1, 6, x1, 12, and m, 4/3, gives:
y - 6 = 4/3 * (x + 12)
y - 6 = 4/3 * x + 16
y = 4/3 * x + 22, line that is parallel to the given line.
