Hi Leah,
Slope intercept form is:
y = mx + b
Where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. So in order to make your equation look like this one, you will have to use algebra to get y all by itself.
1) 6x + 3y = 10
2) 3y = 10 - 6x (first subtract both sides by 6x to get 3y alone on the left side)
2) y = 10/3 - 2x (then divide everything by 3 to get y all by itself)
3) y = -2x + 10/3 (just reorder the right side to make it look like slope intercept form)
Look at the equation for the slope intercept from and compare it to the last equation.
You can now see that the slope, m = -2 and the y-intercept, b = 10/3
