Well---in a sense there is. Both a circle and a multilateral (eg triangle or square) have a dimension that is the sum of all sides. As you increase the number of sides in a regular polygon, it will eventually start looking like a circle.
We use the term "perimeter" for the sum of all the sides of a polygon. But we use "circumference" for figures with smoothly-varying outer limits. If nothing else, these have the different name because the math is different
