Not having a calculator with me at the moment, I had to use an equilateral triangle to find the sine and cosine of a 60-degree angle. Use the following equation: Cosine of 60 degrees = x/10, where x represents the side adjacent to 60 degrees (the distance of the base of the board from the wall). The base is 5 feet from the wall.
