A basket contains six apples and four peaches. You randomly select a piece of fruit and then return it to the basket. Then you randomly select another piece of fruit.  Find the probability the first piece of fruit is an apple and the second piece is a peach.

For each selection, the basket has the same contents. The probability of selecting an apple is 6/10, and the probability of selecting a peach is 4/10.

The probability of selecting the two in sequence is the product of the individual probabilities: 6/10 * 4/10 = 24/100 (Also written as 0.24 or 24%)

Note that the order does not matter. This is because the contents of the basket is the same for each selection.
