i need help on this math problem :)

Let y be the total price of the smartphone, and x the number of weeks you will need to save.

 

y= 50 (your starting point, because you have already saved $50) plus 25x (25 dollars per week)

 

If the problem tells you the smartphone price and you need to know the number of weeks, substitute the price for y and solve for x.

 

Remember that whatever operation (subtraction, division) you do on one side of the equation you need to do to the other.
