If cos x=1/2 then what does cot x equal?

I struggle in math, and I graduate this year. I'm trying to raise my grades so I can walk with the rest of my class at Graduation in a week.

Cos 1/2 means adjacent is 1 and hypotenuse is 2. Use pythag to find opposite is √3.

cot is adj/opp. So 1/√3 or √3/3
