The best answer is, you don't write the accents. In the US, the standard Romanisation of pre-1453 Greek is the Library of Congress standard, and it omits all the accents: https://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/romanization/greek.pdf
If you really need the accents, and you're on a Mac, use the extended keyboard: https://sites.psu.edu/symbolcodes/mac/codemacext/#activate
On Windows, there is no keyboard that combines a macron with anything else, so you'll have to some other way to access the codes, like HTML or LaTeX. You can see the character codes here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combining_character
