2007-2000 = 7 years.

That is "X" since x states the years after 2000.

Then just plug the values in as : f(x) = 0.34 (7) + 10.9

= 13.28 billon dollars.

You can check your work too by back solving for x using the answer:

13.28 = 0.34x + 10.9

2.38 = 0.34x

7= X

2007 is 7 years after 2000. I think

so f(7) = .34(7) + 10.9 = 2.38 + 10.9 = 13.28 billion or 13,280,000,000
