TOEFL consists of four parts, reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The maximum score for each part is 30, hence the maximum total score is 120. ETS uses an intricate system/ algorithm to calculate that score. Your final score is given as xx out of 30 for each part and the total of xx out of 120. Reading and listening skills are also rated as high, intermediate, or low; speaking and writing skills are also rated as good, fair, limited, or weak/ score of zero.
