Win10's Explorer does not show thumbnails for PSD files from Photoshop CC 2016?

When I save PSD files in Photoshop CC 2016 on a computer running Windows 10, I do not get to see thumbnails of images in the File Explorer, but instead the Photoshop logo is displayed in place of PSD files. Earlier I have been using Photoshop 7.0 but in that there was no such problem.

In Photoshop CC, .psd's in general are only shown with an icon. I don't know if it's because the .psd file sizes are larger to the point that they can't show a preview, but there's no way to see the file itself if it's a .psd without opening it in Photoshop.
