Alessia Cara is really great. Her song, "Seventeen," as well as her other songs in the Moana soundtrack are really positive and encouraging for people of every demographic. The use of contemporary sound effects really makes the various songs engaging. Descending and ascending notes add intrigue and suspense. She increases her singing volume when she repeats the word, 'seventeen.' "Seventeen" is in the key of A. At the end of every phrase in "How Far I'll Go," Alessia is louder, thus showing that she does a crescendo in the middle of most every phrase. It is in the key of E major, but then it changes to F major later on. She sustains her voice really well. I can't sing honestly. I can only play the piano and provide accompaniments. Yet, I studied Music Theory in high school for one year during my junior year.
