Thanks your link worked the set up below based on two Secants forming and external angle to a circle having a directly proportional relationship: as the product of length of one secant segment and its external segment is equal to the product of the length of the other secant segment and it external segment. You can look this up as "The Secant Segment Proof" or relationship Secants and Tangents.
