(Command R) or
in the menu bar go to view > rulers> show ruler
that is true to life measurement
To find out the actual size of a shape.
Window> transform
a transform box will pop up.
now click on a shape
if you look at the transform box while the shape is selected the. ( w ) is the width and the (H) is the height. That is the actual size.
When you print the document out it will be the that actual size.
use the transform box and the ruler to gauge your scaling
