What’s the Greek word for cull?

Question

I keep finding σφαγή which means slaughter, but I can’t find one for cull. Does this word exist? I’m basically trying to find a greek word that fits the idea of mass killing/war/fighting for the betterment of the human race (population reduction/natural selection). Figured this would be the right place to ask and was hoping you guys could help me out. I’m doing some philosophy research and this would help me out a lot.

Euripides's use of ἀπολωτίζω (see Iphigenia in aulis, 773–800) is the closest I know of that fairly well captures the perversity of eugenic praxis.
