Is "Kalonissos" (η Καλόνισος) a real island?

Question

It's related to language-learning in a roundabout way. I am using Assimil Le Grec (which is in French) to learn Greek, and most of the dialogue so far has been about the Greek islands. The main island discussed in the text is *l'île Kalonissos.* I looked up Kalonissos on Google... and... nothing! There's no "Kalonissos", even on French websites. The closest I get is Alonissos. Here's what I know about Kalonissos from the text: 1. It's close to the Turkish coast. 2. The capital is Limenas. 3. It takes about 12 hours to get to Kalonissos from Piraeus. If anyone knows whether or not there is an island called Kalonissos I'd be very grateful. :)
