Hi there! This is an interesting question. I think you can be a good lawyer without being a great public speaker, but it's certainly an asset. Inspiring confidence in others is a huge part of any job where you have people asking you to be the solution to their problem and lawyers are on the receiving end of those kinds of requests every day. I have 6 close friends who are lawyers and their personalities are all very different from each other, as are their styles of confidence and public speaking. These differences manifest in how they speak, carry themselves, and how they deal with what they do and don't know.
