This turns out to be a relatively simple exercise in basic algebra. We have:
Company Overhead = 11% of sales and Project Overhead = 7.5% of sales
So Total Overhead = 18.5% of sales and Direct Project Cost is $35,239 with Profit Margin 15% of sales, we have:Sales - Direct Costs - Total Overhead = Profit Margin or
Sales - 35,239 - .185 x Sales = .15 x Sales or Sales - 33.5 x Sales = 35,239
So 66.5 x Sales = 35,239 ad Sales = 52991
