asked 04/04/19What's the surface area of a triangular prism? I dont know which is base or whatever but the numbers are 5, 12. 17 and 13.

You need the sides and height of the base triangle, and the slant height.
Assuming base and height of the triangle is 5 and 12 then the base area is (5 x 12) / 2 = 30 units^2
Assuming the base triangle is isosceles triangle with the sides 5, 17 and 17 and the slant height is 13 (I'm using all your numbers).
Lateral Area = (5 x 17) / 2 + (17 x 17) /2 + (17 x 17) /2 = 331.5
Surface Area = Base Area + Lateral Area = 30 + 331.5 = 361.5 unit^2
