Point slope form = y - y1 = m(x- x1)
(x1, y1) are the point on the line, m = Slope of the line
For a line containing point (10,-1) having a slope of (-3), this is:
y - (-1) = (-3)(x-10) [this is the point-slope form of the equation of the line]
y + 1 = -3x + 10 [it is usually o.k. to write the point-slope form this way -- do only slight simplification; do not move terms]
Additional information:
y = -4x + 10 [this is the slope-intercept form of the equation of the line]
4x + y = 10 [this is the Standard Form of the equation of the line]
4x + y -`0 = 0 [this is the General Form of the equation of the line]
. . . [there are more]

y - y1 = m (x - x1)
y - (-1) = -3 (x - 10)
y + 1 = -3 (x - 10) is the Point-Slope form.
