I know the meaning of each word by its own, but I. don't get when this expression could be used in informal speech. Is it just synonymous to "σιγά!" ?

In English you use the expressing "piece of cake" to say that something is easy. In Greek we use the expression "σιγά το πράγμα" to show that something was easy but also that it was not that big of a deal.
