Can "sciò" be used for person? If so, in which cases can it be considered acceptable?

I remember my grandmother saying _sciò_ to keep away an animal that was getting too close to something or somebody, whatever it was a cat, a chicken, or a dog.Can that exclamation be used also for a person? If the answer is positive, in which cases is that acceptable?

''Sciò'' is a very informal way to say ''vai via'' (go away). It depends on how you use it. It can be playfully referred to a person, like a little child, a close friend or a family member, but it would be seen as unkind if referred to other people.
