find the equation of the line whose slope is 0, and whose y-intercept is -5
The slope-intercept form of the equation of a line looks like: y = mx + b
where:
m = slope
b = y-intercept
The problem gives the slope (m = 0) and the y-intercept (b = -5), so
y = 0x + (-5)
y = -5
Did you know that horizontal lines have a slope of 0? That means that for every value of x, the value of y is the same. Here, y=-5 for all values of x.
