Solve this linear program/equation

Solve this linear program:

 

min z = 3x - 2y

 

subject to:  

 

x - y ≥ -1
x - 2y ≤ 3
x + y ≤ 11
y ≤ 5
x ≥ 0
y ≥ 0

Hello Marianne -

 

I have tried to solve this, and I get only the origin, x = 0 and y = 0. Perhaps that is the answer, unless one of the constraints is incorrect.  

 

If you try this with a graph, graphing each condition, you will see you get negative values for all constraints except the last two. But by adding x ≥ 0 and y ≥ 0, the minimum is 0.
