While I can’t give you a personalized answer because I don’t have a baseline for what’s going on now, in general speaking can be improved by learning how to be both relaxed and energized in a group situation. If you are leading the meeting, having an organization and question fielding strategy that makes the meeting concisely relevant to the decision needs, information needs, action needs, and time commitments of the people attending has helped many people.

First, really care and be passionate. Really care about the subject you are talking about. Secondly, really care about your audience. Research what kind of people they are, what are their interests, their passions. Care more about getting your message communicates well to the audience rather than how you sound, look, etc. Secondly, keep it simple. Pick three important messages that are important and keep it short. Repeat the three important messages in three different ways and then stop. People’s attention spans are very, very short. Dress nicely, but keep it simple. People are visual, but you want the audience to focus on your message more than what you look like.08/04/22
