How long is the test session?

To break it down by section, there are four sections with a 10 minute break.

The reading section has 30-40 questions to be taken over 54-72 minutes.

The listening section has 28-38 questions to be taken over 41-57 minutes.

After the break the Speaking section has 4 tasks over 17 minutes.

The writing section has 2 tasks over 50 minutes (reading, writing and listening).

The actual TOEFL test is about 3.5 hours (if you are fast, you can finish sooner since you control the clock). Remember that you need to get to the test center at least 30 minutes prior for registering and security checks. Expect at least 4+ hours at the test center.
