4 and 1/3 - 3 and 1/2. Lets change them into improper fractions to simplify. So,
4 and 1/3 = 13/3 and 3 and 1/2 equals 7/2. Now we have
13/3 - 7/2. Next, we must find the common denominator to simplify. The common denominator or lowest common denominator is 6. We multiply the numerator and denominator by the factors of 6 to obtain,
(2*13) / (2*3) - (7*3) / (2*3)
26/6 - 21/6 = 5/6.
Hope this helps!
