The Clone Stamp tool is a duplicating tool that allows your to duplicate areas of your image by sampling and applying them to other areas of your image. Basically you are copying a sampled area and pasting it over another area of your photograph. It will cover over the area you choose, however it will not blend in with the underlying pixels like the Healing Brush does.
