Does the Science test still have short answers?

I am seeing contradicting information everywhere... On one side, my books (2018 Kaplan, 2018 & 2019 Princeton Review) all mention the presence of short-answer format questions. Some GED studies websites mention their disappearance this year; some other blog says it depends on the state...And nothing is mentioned on the official GED website. Which is it??

In 2018/2019, GED did away with the Science essay question. However, there are still several short answer (i.e. fill-in-the-blank) questions on the Science GED test. You will also encounter short answer/fill-in-the-blank questions on the Social Studies, Math and Language Arts sections of the GED test.
