How to improve my reading and writing score?

I took all of the Barron sat practice tests and I usually get around 8-10 wrong for reading and 3-5 wrong for writing. In writing, I usually get word choice wrong and for reading I miss the big picture questions. Do you guys have any tips so I can increase my reading and writing score?

Try to understand the structure of the test so you can better understand which answer College Board is looking for. I read the SAT Prep Black Book and this helped me understand the test better as a whole, and I was able to score high on the SAT. Remember that all parts of the answer choice must be correct for that answer choice to be correct, and if two answer choices seem to be the same then they must both be wrong.
