Is it proper to say "Most people viewed him as articulate"?

I would suggest rewriting this sentence.  It is correct but using the phrase most people is very general.  Even in fiction writing I would suggest that if the phrase is used the next sentence should site examples, but I would tend to rewrite using examples or statistics rather than the general phrase.  Louise
