Source code editor for HTML/CSS/JS with projects support?

I am looking for a source code editor with the support for: - Javascript, HTML, CSS syntax highlighting - Auto-completion, Source formatting (for the above languages) - 'Projects' where you can define project directories, and open all files *you were last using on the project* by opening a 'project' - *preferably* portable (under 999mb) Like Notepad++ with *built-in* support for Javascript, HTML, CSS, syntax highlighting, auto completion, source formatting and projects. I need it to be free, and run on Windows 7.

You're describing all the functionalities that Sublime Text has. It's also free (although you can still purchase a license to help the developer of the app).

Both of these are free, cross platform, highly customizable code editors with a wide number on easy to install plugins that will do just about everything you want.

I was a Notepad++ user for many years and after trying both for about six months have settled on VS Code as my every day editor.

You can try Atom (https://atom.io/) or Visual Studio Code (https://code.visualstudio.com/). They are free and, for HTML/CSS and JavaScript, they support, syntax highlighting, auto-completion, project directories (including "recently opened" workspaces). Depending on what you're looking for, source formatting might require an extension like Prettier which you can install directly from inside the editor.
