Identifying solutions

A six-solution unknown contains:

KOH, Ba(NO3)2, (NH4)2SO4, Fe(NO3)3, NaC2H3O2, CrCl3

Identify each solution given the following observations.

  1. pH paper shows only solution 3 to be strongly basic
  2. When solution 3 is added to solution 1, a faint odor of ammonia is noticeable
  3. Solution 1 forms a precipitate only with solution 4
  4. One drop of solution 3 added to solution 5 and to solution 2 gives precipitates in both cases. When more of solution 3 is added, the precipitate formed with solution 5 dissolves but the red-brown precipitate formed with solution 2 does not
  5. Solution 6 does not form precipitates with any of the others
