then, 10x + 25y = 405. But. y = x + 5. (Given)

so, 10x + 25(x + 5) = 405. Expanding, 35x + 125 = 405. Or. 35x = 280

then. x = 8. &. y = 13

Check: 8 x 10 + 13 x 25 = 405.
