What is the ratio of the flow rates of carbon dioxide gas (CO2) to that of oxygen (02)gas at the same temperature and pressure?

See Graham's Law of Effusion:

rate gas 1/rate gas 2 = sqrt (MW gas 2/MW gas 1)

MW CO2 = 44

MW O2 = 32

Let O2 be gas 1....

rate O2/rate CO2 = sqrt (44/32) = 1.17

So, ration of flow rate of O2 to CO2 is 1.17 : 1 or of CO2 to O2 is 1/1.17 = 0.85 : 1
