Sarah runs 1 hour/day and burns 0.11 cal/min. To get calories burned/week, you have....
1 hour/day x 60 minutes/hour x 0.11 cal/minute x 7 days/week = 46 calories burned each week
Nancy swims 2 hours/day and burns 0.05 calories/min. To get calories burned/week, you have ...
2 hours/day x 60 minutes/hour x 0.05 cal/minute x 7 days/week = 42 calories burned each week.
So, since they weigh the same, you don't need to include weigh in the formula as it is a constant.
Sarah will burn more in a week than will Nancy.
