One side of triangle is 2 times the shortest side. The third side is 8 feet more than the shortest side. The perimeter is 52 . Find all three sides.

The sides are x, 2x and x+8. The sum of the sides is x+2x+x+8=4x+8 which is the perimeter = 52. Subtract 8 from each side: 4x=44. Divide by 4; x=11, 2x=22 and x+8=19. OK now?
