Find mass of sand:
mass of breaker + sand - mass of beaker = mass of sand
107.133 g - 105.974 g = 1.159 g of sand
Find mass of salt:
total mass of sample - mass of sand = mass of salt
3.000 g - 1.159 g = 1.841 g of salt
Sand % composition = mass of sand/total mass (x100%) = 1.159g/3.000 g (x100%) = 38.63%
Salt % composition = mass of salt/total mass (x100%) = 1.841g/3.000 g (x100%) = 61.37 %
