Well, you have to know the polynomial first

y = (-1)(x+2)(x-1)(x-4)

The graph will go to +∞ as x goes to -∞ and to -∞ as x increases positively.

It will have a maximum between 1 and 4 and a minimum between 1 and -2.

That should give you a start on a sketch.
