Of 1?  The cubed root means that something x something x something = 1.  Since 2 x 2 x 2 = 8, the cubed root of 8 is 2.  It's not -2, because -2 x -2 x -2 = -8.  The cubed root of -8 is -2, but the cubed root of -8 is not 2.  Make sense?
