Hi Kyrsten--
A simpler way to think of the percentage values of each assignment is to think of the bigger ones as multiple smaller ones, so you don't have to multiply many things by many different percentages...
So each test is 1 assignment, each paper = 2 assignments, the final = 2 assignments, and if the homework is the remaining 50 percent, it's worth 5 assignments.
So, add up each single test score, + double the paper score, + double the final exam score, + 5 times the homework score, and divide the total by twelve assignments (3 tests, 2 papers because the value of the paper is doubled; 2 finals because the value of the final is doubled, and 5 homeworks because the value of the homework is quintupled.)
The total then is 982, divided by the 12 different grades. Average comes out to 81.83
Hope this helps!
