We need to translate the words "product" to MULTIPLY and "at least" to GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO.

So in math symbols, this says

a * (-10) > -40

We need to isolate "a", so we will divide by (-10).

But with an INEQUality, when multiplying or dividing by a NEGATIVE number, the inequality must FLIP. So this becomes

a < 4 which is the answer.
