asked 12/11/18Can galatian even mean galaxy?
I've been thinking of the word Galatian. I know Galatian means something from the bible but can Galatian even mean galaxy? Galaxian is a close word but Galatian kind of fits the tone of it better in my opinion. I'm just curious about Galatian having another meaning than just something from the bible.

The adjective derived from the word galaxy is galactic. I'm not aware that galaxian is even an English word (yet)

A Galatian is a resident of Galatia. Paul of Tarsus wrote a letter to them.

The Celtic people were known in Greek by the corresponding term derived from the word for milk ‘gala’. ‘Galaxy’ in English comes from the Greek ‘milky way’. So the Galatians and Galaxy are related. Wait a sec! Did the Galatians create the Galaxy or was the galaxy (Greek term) named after them simply because of their milky complexion? I think the latter hypothesis is too superficial while the former hypothesis is too “out-of-this-world”. Hahaha.07/26/19
