My Math project

Question

I am working a on a math project and while doing it came to this equation that I can not figure out how to solve, can i get some pointers? The following is the equation:

0.768^sec(x) * cos(x) <= 0.5162023272

I don't see a way of solving this in closed form.

I graphed the equation and my graphing calculator gave me .740508 as the root.

Without the aid of a graphing calculator you could try one of several methods of numerical solution; regula falsi might be the easiest,but knowing what the graph looks like you would have to be careful that it converges.

I hope this is helpful...and if somebody comes back to you with a solution in closed form, I would appreciate your telling me.
