assume that the temperature "T" in degrees Fahrenheit, of a patient "t" days into a 12 day illness is given by :
T(t) = (101.4degreesF) + [6degreesF Sin (x/8t)]

Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
T(t) = 101 + 6sin(pi/8t)
103 = 101 _ 6sin(pi/8t)
2 = 6sin(pi/8t)
sin(pi/8t) = 1/3
pi/8t = arcsin(1/3)
8t = pi/arcsin(1/3)
t = (1/8)pi/arcsin(1/3) = about .0202 days
then an infinite number of other days as temperature oscillates up and down past 103
