Linux is a variant of UNIX, a free one, It is often used for file servers and other types of servers instead of Windows or Mac. There are fewer viruses and malware for Linux. Much of the software you get for LInux is free also, like the Word processor. You can extend or modify Linux easier than the other two in my opinion, being open source to some extent. Apple and Microsoft own the other two. Are the four items you liisted possible solutions or answers? I would say number one if that is the case. Your question is not clear.
